Personally, I have worn a ceramic bezel watch for years doing all manner of adventurous things (including rock climbing) and have yet to break the bezel. Ok, so i've managed to get a 2-3mm scratch on the ceramic bezel on my one year old DSSD. How did i do it?, oh man, you guys are going to crucify me now! I had a tiny 'ding' on the outer edge of the bezel, i was using a cape cod cloth to remove it.If the ceramic Pepsi bezel would crack upon removal, then the same problem would apply to the other GMT Master ceramic bezels (e.g. Batman/Batgirl). Don't know what's all that fuss about ceramic bezels. I also have a ceramic bezel on my Rolex GMT-Master II. I love these bezels. Both watches are in my regular rotation— the bezels are durable and have remained scratch-free for a number of years. I am not hard on my watches, but it is very difficult to keep stainless or aluminum bezels scratch-free.
